GrassRoot's identity needed to resonate with health-conscious consumers who value transparency, care about their broader community, and are increasingly wary of weak regulation, product recalls, and consumer distrust. The challenge was to create a brand that felt holistic, trustworthy, and environmentally conscious without blending into the usual wellness clichés. GrassRoot’s mission was to deliver supplements that were simple and transparent in packaging that would not harm the environment, so the brand needed to communicate both care and credibility from the start.

The solution centered on building a distinctive visual identity that combined natural influence with a more expressive, playful tone. The logo and supporting graphic language were designed to feel organic and hand-made, helping the brand feel more human and less clinical than many competitors in the category. That identity was carried across packaging, ingredient storytelling, and promotional materials through a system of bold color, custom botanical illustrations, and layered patterns. Together, these elements helped create a brand that felt rooted in the earth, connected to the people it serves, and flexible enough to scale across different product lines and touchpoints.

This project was about giving a new supplement company the credibility and personality it needed to get off the ground.

The name of each product was chosen to convey the purpose to the user. Boost for stronger immunity, Calm for more restful sleep. It was very important for the brand to be transparent when listing ingredients in an unregulated space where users can be untrusting and suspicious of new products.
